Line Your Garden Path With a Bamboo Archway

Bamboo is an excellent way to add some decorative interest to a garden. One of my favourite ways to do this is to place slender strips of it along a wonderful garden pathway. Such strips can be made by employing a six way splitter to segment them off from a larger piece of bamboo timber. This should not be a difficult chore, as the splitter should glide relatively smoothly through the bamboo.

Once you have your six strips, cut the ends of each into a sharp point. Drive those into the earth that lines the path and create a beautiful archway over it. When set up properly this should be surprisingly sturdy as bamboo is made of materials that are both very strong and flexible. Once you have done this in one section of your pathway you will want to proceed on to do more. The look is smashing, and the process itself kind of addicting.
